Joining the esteemed ensemble of "The Very Best People," the humorous thriller marking the directorial debut of Tony Award-winner Brian Swibel, are Jaimie Alexander (renowned for her role in "Thor"), Chloe Fineman (a standout from "Saturday Night Live"), and Cathy Moriarty (acclaimed for her Oscar-nominated performance in "Raging Bull"). Penned by John Lavelle, whose play of the same name premiered at IAMA theatre company in the autumn of 2024, in collaboration with Swibel and "Blades of Glory" co-scribe Craig Cox, "The Very Best People" promises a delightful blend of comedy and suspense. Producing for Swibel's Triptyk Studios, which is venturing into narrative features for the very first time with this project, are Brent Emery (known for "The Stanford Prison Experiment"), Justin Klosky, Alex Peace-Power, Tara Smith, and Bita Khorrami. Joining them is seasoned producer and casting director Bonnie Timmermann, with Hauser, Reinhart, Dan Reardon, and Lisa Wolofsky serving as executive producers. Upgrade is handling international sales, following its successful introduction to buyers at Cannes, while UTA Independent Film Group represents domestic rights.

Jaimie Alexander, best known for portraying the valiant Asgardian warrior Lady Sif across numerous Marvel endeavors, commencing with Kenneth Branagh's "Thor" in 2011, also shone for five seasons on the hit NBC series "Blindspot." Soon, she will reprise her role as Tammy in the 17th season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," having first appeared in Season 1. Represented by Gersh, Berwick & Kovacik, and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis, Alexander continues to captivate audiences.

Chloe Fineman, a beloved cast member of "SNL," currently stars in Jillian Bell's directorial debut "Summer of 69" for American High and Hulu, which debuted atop the streamer's charts. Upcoming projects include "Freakier Friday" alongside Lindsay Lohan, the pickleball comedy "The Dink" co-starring Ben Stiller and Jake Johnson, and Joey Power's indie rom-com "Love Language." Making her Broadway debut in Simon Rich's "All In," Fineman is represented by CAA and NG Management, and her versatility continues to shine bright.

Cathy Moriarty, renowned for her Oscar-nominated performance opposite Robert De Niro in Martin Scorsese's "Raging Bull," has also graced the screens in films such as "Neighbors," "Kindergarten Cop," "But I'm a Cheerleader," and "Patti Cake$," among numerous others. Represented by Artists & Representatives and Felker Toczek Suddleson, Moriarty brings her storied acting prowess to "The Very Best People," enhancing its already impressive lineup.
