Penned by John Lavelle, whose play of the same name premiered at IAMA theatre company in the autumn of 2024, in collaboration with Swibel and "Blades of Glory" co-scribe Craig Cox, "The Very Best People" promises a delightful blend of comedy and suspense. Producing for Swibel's Triptyk Studios, which is venturing into narrative features for the very first time with this project, are Brent Emery (known for "The Stanford Prison Experiment"), Justin Klosky, Alex Peace-Power, Tara Smith, and Bita Khorrami. Joining them is seasoned producer and casting director Bonnie Timmermann, with Hauser, Reinhart, Dan Reardon, and Lisa Wolofsky serving as executive producers. Upgrade is handling international sales, following its successful introduction to buyers at Cannes, while UTA Independent Film Group represents domestic rights.
