A galaxy of Hollywood luminaries has joined South Korean auteur Bong Joon Ho on the prestigious jury of this year's Marrakech International Film Festival. Led by the Oscar-winning mastermind behind Parasite, the eight-member panel hails from four continents, including American actress Jenna Ortega, known for her roles in Wednesday and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice; British-Argentinian star Anya Taylor-Joy, who shone in Dune: Part Two, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and The Queen’s Gambit; and director Celine Song, who helmed Past Lives and Materialists.

Joining them for the 22nd edition is Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz, whose The Invisible Life of Eurídice Gusmão captivated international audiences. The jury also includes Moroccan filmmaker Hakim Belabbes, a pillar of intimate, memory-based cinema, and French director Julia Ducournau, winner of the Palme d’Or for Titane. Completing the lineup is Iranian actor-director Payman Maadi, who attained global fame in Asghar Farhadi’s A Separation.
The Marrakech Film Festival will unfold in Morocco from November 28 to December 6, with the award winners to be announced at the closing ceremony on December 6. Among the key contenders at this year's fest are Gus Van Sant's Dead Man’s Wire with Bill Skarsgard, followed by Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein and Chloe Zhao's Hamnet.
