At the heart of this captivating tale lies political prisoner Valentín (Diego Luna), who finds himself sharing a cell with Molina (Tonatiuh), a window dresser convicted of public indecency. As Molina recounts the enchanting plot of a Hollywood musical featuring his beloved silver screen goddess, Ingrid Luna (Lopez), an unlikely bond begins to blossom between the two.

"I couldn't survive without movies. There's one I'll never forget," Tonatiuh's Molina reminisces, gazing longingly at a movie poster for "Kiss of the Spider Woman" in the teaser. Throughout the preview, Lopez shines brilliantly in the title role of Aurora, enchanting viewers with her captivating performances in dream sequences and a multitude of musical numbers, all while navigating the unexpected friendship between the two cellmates.

Presented by Artists Equity and Mohari Media, "Kiss of the Spider Woman" is a collaborative effort from Josephson Entertainment, Tom Kirdahy, Greg Yolen, and Nuyorican Productions. Executive producers include Condon, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Mark Scheinberg, Dani Bernfeld, Kevin Halloran, Michael Joe, Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon, Whitney Williams, Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Courtney Baxter, Luna, D. In his review, David Rooney, the chief film critic for The Hollywood Reporter, hailed it as one of Lopez's finest roles in her storied career. The movie made its debut at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival in January, with Lopez visibly moved by the overwhelming response to her performance.

"I've been waiting for this moment my entire life," Lopez emotionally declared. "The truth is, when you talk about the significance of musicals, the very reason I wanted to be in this industry was because my mom would sit me in front of the TV every Thanksgiving to watch 'West Side Story.' I was completely mesmerized. I remember thinking, 'That's what I want to do. That's my goal.' And here I am, finally living my dream."

Set to grace theaters on October 10, "Kiss of the Spider Woman" promises to be a cinematic masterpiece that will captivate audiences worldwide.
