Violet McGraw, the young star who captivated audiences in M3GAN 2.0, has embarked on her next hair-raising horror venture. This fall, she will premiere the spellbinding short film, The Littles, at the New York Comic Con, with The Hollywood Reporter exclusively unveiling the first eerie teaser.
Joining McGraw in this chilling tale are Janel Parrish, best known for her role in Pretty Little Liars, and Dominic Sherwood, a fan favorite from Shadowhunters. The narrative commences on an unassuming day when 11-year-old Juliet (McGraw) inadvertently stubs her toe on a loose floorboard in her home. This seemingly innocuous incident unwittingly triggers a cascade of enigmatic occurrences. A faint, haunting whisper and an otherworldly glow seeping through the cracks pique her curiosity. As Juliet delves deeper into this macabre mystery, she finds herself ensnared in a harrowing, supernatural encounter that peels back the layers of her family's secrets and forever alters her reality.
Directed by filmmaker Andrew Duplessie, author of the novel Too Scared to Sleep and a producer on American Horror Stories, The Littles is a chilling fusion of live-action and meticulously crafted stop-motion animation by Anthony Scott, an animator renowned for his work on Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. The film's haunting score is composed by Cornel Wilczek (Talk to Me), with visual effects by Edward Douglas (The Monkey), sound design by Eugenio Battaglia (Longlegs), puppeteering expertise by Katy Struz (Beetlejuice), and editing by Justin Li (Heretic).
Prepare to be entranced and terrified as The Littles brings a new dimension of fear to the screen this fall.
