"Love" delves into the lives of two colleagues at an Oslo hospital: Marianne, a straightforward and conservative doctor, and Tor, a gay male nurse, both shunning traditional romantic entanglements. As singles, their paths cross on a ferry, leading to heartfelt confessions. Marianne reveals her longing for more adventurous and open encounters with men, while Tor expresses his weariness with Grindr hook-ups. Their conversations serve as a profound exploration of desire and emotional fulfillment, challenging societal norms and embracing the idea of spontaneous intimacy.

Starring Andrea Bræin Hovig, Tayo Cittadella Jacobsen, Marte Engebrigtsen, Lars Jacob Holm, and Thomas Gullestad, this film promises to be as enchanting as its predecessors in the intimate trilogy. These stories resonate with honesty and ingenuity, drawing viewers into a world where conventional boundaries are blurred.

Marianne, a pragmatic doctor in Oslo, and Tor, a compassionate nurse, both steer clear of conventional relationships. Following an unsuccessful blind date, Marianne encounters Tor on a ferry, where he often seeks casual encounters. Intrigued by his candor about spontaneous intimacy, Marianne starts to ponder if casual relationships could be a viable option for her as well.

"Love," originally titled "Kjærlighet" in Norwegian, is penned and directed by the talented Dag Johan Haugerud, whose credits include "The 7 Deadly Sins," "I Belong," "I'm the One You Want," "Barn," and "The Light from the Chocolate Factory," among numerous other shorts and cinematic projects. As part of his "The Oslo Trilogy" (comprising "Love," "Sex," and "Dreams"), it is produced by Hege Hauff Hvattum and Yngve Sæther.

Having premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, Strand Releasing will introduce Haugerud's "Love" to select American theaters, including Film Forum in NYC, starting May 16th, 2025. Following suit, "Sex" will hit theaters on June 13th, and "Dreams" will wrap up the trilogy's cinematic run on September 12th of this year. Are you ready to embark on this emotional journey?
