After two decades, the beloved "Night at the Museum" franchise is poised for a captivating reboot. The original 2006 installment, starring Ben Stiller as Larry Daley, a night guard at New York's Museum of Natural History, thrilled audiences as it revealed the museum's exhibits magically coming to life after dusk.
According to People Magazine, Shawn Levy, the director behind hits like "Deadpool" and "Wolverine," and his production company 21 Laps Entertainment have embarked on developing a fresh "Night at the Museum" film for Disney's 20th Century Studios. This new chapter will continue the enchanting narrative, albeit with a fresh ensemble of characters gracing the museum's halls.
Levy, who helmed the previous three installments with skillful precision, will serve as a producer alongside Dan Levine and Emily Morris. Meanwhile, Tripper Clancy has been tapped to pen the screenplay for this highly anticipated movie.
The original "Night at the Museum" was loosely inspired by Milan Trenc's 1993 children's book of the same name. Past installments boasted an illustrious cast including the likes of Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney, Carla Gugino, Ricky Gervais, a double appearance by Rami Malek, Paul Rudd, the late, great Robin Williams, Steve Coogan, Mizuo Peck, and Owen Wilson.
However, fans eagerly await the announcement of the cast, director, and release date for this forthcoming cinematic adventure, which promises to once again bring the magic of a night at the museum to life on the big screen.
