"Dad, I'm not cut out to slay dragons..." Universal Pictures has unveiled another thrilling 60-second promotional teaser for their live-action adaptation of 'How to Train Your Dragon,' set to mesmerize audiences in theaters this June. The original 'HTTYD' film, which premiered in 2010, was an unprecedented success for DreamWorks Animation, leading to the creation of two equally enchanting sequels. This tale follows a young Viking boy who harbors dreams of joining the dragon hunt but unexpectedly forms an unbreakable bond with a young dragon he affectionately names Toothless.

Directed by the same visionary mind behind the original three animated films, Dean DeBlois, this live-action version promises to be every bit as captivating. Starring Mason Thames (of 'The Black Phone') as Hiccup, Gerard Butler reprising his role as Stoick, and Nico Parker as Astrid, the film also boasts an all-star cast including Nick Frost, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz, and Murray McArthur. This latest trailer, largely a revisited version of the initial teaser, offers a glimpse of Toothless and Hiccup frolicking, adding a few intriguing scenes at its conclusion. While the visuals are promising, one wonders about the necessity of this shot-for-shot live-action remake.

On the rugged island of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have waged war for centuries, Hiccup (Mason Thames) stands as an outlier. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler), Hiccup breaks with tradition by forming a friendship with Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. This unlikely alliance uncovers the dragons' true essence, shaking the very core of Viking society. With the fierce and ambitious Astrid (Nico Parker) and the quirky blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost) at his side, Hiccup confronts a world shrouded in fear and misunderstanding. As an ancient peril arises, threatening both Vikings and dragons, Hiccup's bond with Toothless becomes the linchpin for crafting a new dawn. Together, they must traverse the treacherous path to peace, soaring beyond the confines of their worlds and redefining heroism and leadership.

Written and directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Dean DeBlois, who helmed the original three animated 'How to Train Your Dragon' films, alongside music videos and other projects, this story is inspired by Cressida Cowell's New York Times bestselling book series. Produced by Marc Platt, Adam Siegel, and Dean DeBlois, this new 'How To Train Your Dragon' is a part of the Filmed For IMAX Program. Universal Pictures will unleash the live-action 'How To Train Your Dragon' film nationwide in theaters starting June 13th, 2025. Who's ready to embark on this epic journey?
