Rachel Brosnahan exuded professionalism as she navigated a challenging scene filled with extensive dialogues alongside co-star David Corenswet on her maiden day on the highly anticipated Superman film set. During a lively conversation with fellow actress Amanda Seyfried for Interview Magazine's celebrity-on-celebrity chat, Brosnahan opened up about her initial experiences on James Gunn's directorial venture.
The 34-year-old actress embodies the iconic character of Lois Lane, the beloved love interest of Clark Kent, alias Superman. "We were filming the 10-page scene that David and I had rehearsed together," she revealed. "It felt almost like we were shooting an indie film in some hidden basement. It was incredible how deeply we could delve into these characters."
When Seyfried inquired if filming such scenes early on was a strategic decision, Brosnahan quipped, "I guess so. We spent a couple of hours making out and then tackled that 10-page long scene!"
She then hinted at an intriguing stunt sequence that she couldn't disclose just yet. "I got to participate in something unique that I'm not allowed to talk much about. It didn't involve any wires, but it felt like maybe it should have," she added with a tease.
Brosnahan went on to recount one of the funniest moments on set, involving Superman's dog Krypto, who is a CGI creation. "I have never felt like a worse actor in my life," she laughed. "There was nothing there physically to interact with. James was somewhere far away, shouting through the god mic, 'No, Rachel! You're putting your hand through the dog. Stop putting your hand through the dog!'"
The DC reboot of Superman is slated for release on July 8, 2025.
