Robert Pattinson, who is poised to take on the role of Scytale, a master shapeshifter in the highly anticipated Dune: Part Three, opened up about his immersive filming experience in the scorching Arabian deserts. The third installment is an adaptation of Dune: Messiah, where Scytale plots a coup against Emperor Paul Atreides (played by Timothee Chalamet).

In an exclusive interview with IndieWire, the Twilight star shared his on-set experience, saying, "It was actually a delightful experience. While filming Dune in the desert, the heat was so intense that I couldn't think of anything else."
He continued, "It was so calming; my brain wasn't even functioning. I didn't have a single functioning brain cell. I was just listening to Denis [Villeneuve], 'Whatever you want!'" He added, "I actually found it relaxing. Now I'm carrying that mindset into other roles."
The third chapter of the Dune saga begins twelve years after the events of Dune: Part II, with Paul Atreides now reigning as Emperor. He is married to Princess Irulan (played by Florence Pugh) while maintaining his connection with his concubine, Chani (played by Zendaya), as various factions plot against him.
Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, and Anya Taylor-Joy will reprise their roles, while Nakoa-Wolf Mamoa and Ida Brooke will star as Paul's children. Dune: Messiah is slated for release on December 18, 2026.
