Ashley Greene and Seth Green are geared up to spread giggles with a contemporary romantic comedy that offers a fresh perspective on modern relationships. They are poised to take center stage in director Peter Facinelli's forthcoming film, Grace Period, an upcoming production from Wango Films. This month, the movie will be presented to potential buyers at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, preceding a scheduled production commencement in August.
Grace Period revolves around Willa (played by Greene), who, on a whim, decides to undergo egg freezing with the assistance of Dr. Rubin, portrayed by Emmy-nominated actor Matt Walsh. Just when things seem to be taking a turn for the unusual, she encounters her dream man, Greg (played by Green), and embarks on this tumultuous journey, guided by both men.
This indie flick marks a reunion for Facinelli with Greene, his former Twilight co-star, and Green, who shared screen space with him in the 1998 teenage romantic comedy Can't Hardly Wait. Facinelli directs the film from a script penned by his real-life partner, Lily Anne Harrison. The producers include Tim Doiron and James van der Woerd from Wango Films, alongside Peter Winther.
"I'm absolutely delighted to reclaim my director's seat for Grace Period, a film that delves into a timely and heartfelt subject while infusing the world with some much-anticipated laughter," Facinelli expresses. "Knowing Seth and Ashley for what feels like ages, I can hardly wait to harness their incredible on-screen talent together. With Wango Films and Peter Winther producing, and a formidable supporting cast, we're crafting something truly remarkable that audiences are bound to cherish."
Facinelli's previous directorial credits include The Vanished and Breaking & Exiting. Greene is represented by Gersh and Untitled Entertainment, while Green is managed by UTA, Sloane Offer, and Untitled Entertainment. Walsh is represented by UTA and Artist First. Facinelli is represented by Paradigm and Burstein Company, and Harrison is represented by Verve and Art2Perform.
