'Carry-On' revolves around an inexperienced TSA agent, played by Egerton, who finds himself in a cunning game of cat and mouse with a cryptic traveler, embodied by Bateman. On Christmas Eve, the enigmatic passenger blackmails the agent into allowing a perilous package onto a flight, sparking a race against time.

In the trailer's ominous voiceover, Bateman warns, "You have 10 minutes before everybody in this airport dies. All you have to do is nothing." The tension mounts as Collet-Serra, renowned for 'Black Adam' and 'Jungle Cruise,' masterfully steers the film based on T.J. Fixman's gripping script. Dylan Clark serves as producer, while the executive producers include Collet-Serra himself, along with Holly Bario, Brian Williams, Seth William Meier, and Scott Greenberg.

Egerton, known for his stellar work in the 'Kingsman' franchise and his critically acclaimed portrayal of Elton John in 'Rocketman,' adds depth to his character's journey in 'Carry-On.' During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, he teased, "Our protagonist is discontent at his airport job, feeling unfulfilled and deflated. Additionally, he's just learned of his girlfriend's pregnancy, heaping on the pressure to be a responsible father and provider. But amidst this, a profound sense of unaccomplishment lingers. When thrust into this dire situation, he's presented with a pivotal opportunity to rise above it all."

Bateman, fresh from his roles in 'Fool's Paradise' and 'Air,' brings a sinister edge to the mysterious traveler, setting the stage for an unforgettable clash between two men at the crossroads of duty, morality, and survival.
