Teresa Palmer has received the green light to set sail on Amazon MGM Studios' pulse-pounding submarine thriller, *Subversion*. The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned that Palmer has officially joined the ensemble cast of director Patrick Vollrath's upcoming feature. Fresh off her dynamic co-starring role alongside Ryan Gosling in Universal's *The Fall Guy*, Palmer now aligns with the previously announced *Subversion* cast members, including Chris Hemsworth, Lily James, Michael Peña, and Joe Cole.
THR exclusively unveiled last month that David Wenham (*Elvis*), Robert John Burke (*The Last of Us*), and Simone Kessell (*Yellowjackets*) are also set to appear in the film. Helmed by Vollrath (*7500*), *Subversion* is crafted from a script penned by Andrew Ferguson. Lorenzo di Bonaventura takes the helm as producer, with Stephen Shafer and Greg Cohen serving as executive producers for di Bonaventura Pictures.
*Subversion* unfolds with a once-revered naval commander (Hemsworth) coerced into navigating a submarine laden with illicit cargo across international waters. Complicating matters is a relentless Coast Guard officer (James) hot on the vessel's trail.
In addition to her role in David Leitch’s *The Fall Guy*, which electrified theaters last year, Palmer is renowned for her performances in films such as *Hacksaw Ridge*, *Warm Bodies*, and Terrence Malick’s *Knight of Cups*. Her television credits include AMC’s *A Discovery of Witches* and Disney+’s *The Clearing*.
Palmer is soon to grace the screen in *Bear Country*, sharing the spotlight with Russell Crowe, Nina Dobrev, and Aaron Paul. Her upcoming projects also include Orion’s *4 Kids Walk Into a Bank*, co-starring Liam Neeson, Talia Ryder, and Whitney Peak, with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg serving as producers.
Palmer is represented by CAA, Entertainment 360, Shanahan Management, and Sloane Offer.
