Molly Gordon, the star who captivated audiences with her portrayal of Claire Dunlap in the hit culinary drama "The Bear," has secured her next leading lady status in the hilarious new comedy, "Oh, Hi!" This witty venture, penned and helmed by Sophie Brooks who collaborated with Gordon on the conception, revolves around a duo whose maiden holiday escapade takes a hilarious and unanticipated detour. The production kicked off in the bustling metropolis of New York earlier this month, marking the beginning of another exciting chapter for Gordon's illustrious career (per Deadline).

The film's official synopsis paints a delightful picture: Iris (Gordon) and Isaac (Logan Lerman) embark on their first weekend getaway as a couple, blissfully unaware of the curveball that's about to be thrown their way. Isaac's innocent revelation that he hadn't realized they were an item sends Iris into a tailspin of confusion-turned-determination. Convinced he's merely mixed up, Iris decides to take matters into her own hands and hold Isaac captive until they're both singing from the same sheet of music.

Joining Gordon and Lerman in this indie comedy extravaganza are the talents of Geraldine Viswanathan, known for her role in "Drive-Away Dolls," and John Reynolds from the acclaimed series "Search Party." The project is a labor of love for Brooks and Gordon, who co-developed it alongside producers David Brooks and Dan Clifton. Julie Waters adds her producing prowess to the mix, while Evan Dyal, Molly C Quinn, Matthew M Welty, Elan Gale, Evan Moore, and Justin Brown serve as executive producers, ensuring a smooth and creative production process.

Gordon's breakout role in "The Bear," which streams on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US, has solidified her status as a force to be reckoned with in the industry. Last year, she stole hearts in "Theater Camp," a mockumentary that follows a group of teachers at a fictional summer camp who must pull off a theatrical masterpiece to save the camp from closing down. Gordon not only shone as the lead but also co-directed and co-wrote the film alongside Nick Lieberman, Ben Platt, and Noah Galvin, who made hilarious cameos. The star-studded cast, including Gordon's "The Bear" co-star Ayo Edebiri, Bailee Bonick, Jimmy Tatro, Patti Harrison, Amy Sedaris, and Nathan Lee Graham, received rave reviews from critics, with Digital Spy awarding it a perfect five stars, lauding it as "the funniest comedy of the year."

Furthermore, Gordon has already bagged a role in Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming murder mystery, "Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie," where she'll join a flock of secretly intelligent sheep as they unravel a thrilling case, adding yet another feather to her already impressive cap.
