Art the Clown and the infamous 'Terrifier' franchise have returned with a vengeance, terrifying audiences to the brink of madness. In a compassionate gesture, the distribution company issued a statement urging, "If the #Terrifier3 experience left you shaken, please do not hesitate to reach out for additional support." This message was accompanied by an official X post showcasing a stark warning label for "extreme violence and graphic gore," reassuring, "Should you feel unwell, kindly seek assistance from our trained first-aid staff on site."

According to LADbible, the exodus of viewers was particularly swift, with nine of the eleven abandoning their seats during the film's opening salvo, while the lone instance of vomiting underscored the film's unnerving intensity. Filmmaker Damien Leone himself attested to the chaos, sharing on his X account that he "personally bore witness to some truly bizarre occurrences at this UK screening."

The 'Terrifier' saga, which debuted in 2016, has a storied history of viewers fleeing in terror or succumbing to physical distress during screenings. Financially backed by Cineverse and its subsidiary Bloody Disgusting, a horror-centric website and production house, the franchise has garnered a reputation for pushing boundaries.

'Terrifier 2' in 2022 witnessed a significant surge in box office success, seemingly fueled by reports of patrons fainting and vomiting during showings. Leone himself addressed skepticism surrounding these accounts on social media, insisting, "These stories are 100% genuine," quelling rumors that they were part of a marketing ploy.

In France, 'Terrifier 3' screenings have been strictly off-limits to minors under 18, with a press release equating the ban to the NC-17 rating in the United States. The film's U.S. release, however, remains unrated.

The 'Terrifier' movies revolve heavily around Art the Clown's relentless terrorizing of teenagers, with actress Lauren LaVera taking center stage in the second and third installments. Set on Christmas Eve, 'Terrifier 3' promises to be the ultimate nightmare come to life.

Prior to its Fantastic Fest debut in Austin, Texas, on September 19th, Leone confirmed the green light for a fourth chapter in the series, as reported by Variety. Get ready to be scared silly once again when 'Terrifier 3' hits theaters on October 11th.
