"Havoc" revolves around Walker (Hardy), a disillusioned detective compelled to confront his haunting past errors as he embarks on a mission to find the estranged offspring of a politician, who mysteriously vanished after a disastrous drug deal. The trailer captivatingly portrays Hardy clashing with authoritative figures, notably one portrayed by Whitaker. With a menacing undertone, Whitaker declares, "And don't forget, I know what you did." To which Hardy responds with a cryptic edge, "You have no idea what I did."
Evans, who also served as the film's producer alongside Hardy, Ed Talfan, and Aram Tertzakian, directed "Havoc" from his own meticulously crafted screenplay. In a 2020 interview with the YouTube channel Rossatron, Evans eagerly expressed his thrill at unleashing a plethora of high-octane action sequences in "Havoc." He enthusiastically stated, "'Havoc' marks my foray back into creating something truly grand-scale in the action genre after a hiatus of three or four years, and I couldn't be more elated to embark on this film next."
