Tom Holland’s New Spider-Man Suit for ‘Brand New Day’ Revealed

Published: Aug 04 2025

The beloved and neighborly Spider-Man has made his triumphant return. On a bright Saturday morning, Sony unveiled an exhilarating video featuring Tom Holland, who, after a spirited warm-up, strides confidently towards the camera donned in his sleek new Spider-Man attire, querying, "Are we ready?" A sneak peek of this revamped costume had already captivated fans the previous day.

In a striking departure from his previous film iterations in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," "Far From Home," and "No Way Home," this latest costume boasts a more prominent spider emblem adorning Holland's chest. Furthermore, it's intriguing to observe that this updated Spidey suit bears a remarkable resemblance to those worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in their respective "Spider-Man" ventures.

Adding to the excitement on Saturday, online videos unveiled that the fourth installment starring Holland had commenced filming in England. In the 2021 blockbuster "No Way Home," Spider-Man's true identity as Peter Parker was erased from the collective memory of humanity, leaving not even his beloved girlfriend MJ (played by Zendaya) and closest friend Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) with any recollection of him.

Rejoining the fray for this highly anticipated sequel is Jon Bernthal, who will once again embody the vigilante known as the Punisher. This marks Bernthal's cinematic debut in the role, a historic first. Earlier on Friday, The Hollywood Reporter broke the thrilling news that Mark Ruffalo would reprise his role as the Hulk. Michael Mando is also set to return, donning the mantle of the Scorpion once more, a character he first brought to life in 2017's "Homecoming."

At the helm of this cinematic endeavor is Destin Daniel Cretton, with the screenplay penned by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who previously collaborated on the screenplay for "No Way Home." Get ready to embark on another breathtaking adventure, as Sony/Marvel's "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" soars into theaters on July 31, 2026.
