CMC Pictures has just unveiled a second thrilling trailer for the Chinese action extravaganza, The Shadow's Edge, a film that's already lighting up cinemas (including those in the US) since a few weeks ago. This marks the second collaboration between the legendary Jackie Chan and filmmaker Larry Yang, following their previous team-up on Ride On (2023).
"Trust crumbles. Truth bends. Identities are shrouded in mystery. The chase is on—inch by inch, move by calculated move." The icon returns—Jackie Chan stands once more on the front lines, squaring off against a criminal mastermind (Leung Ka Fai Tony) and his elite "Wolf Pack" in a high-octane clash of shadows and strategy. Deception abounds at every turn. The stellar cast also includes Zhang Zi Feng, Tony Leung Ka-fai, Ci Sha, Jun, and Zhou Zheng Jie. This latest trailer is a vast improvement over the first, which lacked the same intensity of action scenes. The Shadow's Edge, originally titled 捕风追影 or Bu Feng Zhui Ying in Mandarin, is penned and directed by Chinese filmmaker Larry Yang, known for his previous works such as Sorry I Love You, Mountain Cry, Another Shot, and Adoring, as well as his collaboration with Jackie Chan on Ride On. Produced by Victoria Hon, the film is set to grace theaters in China this week. Additionally, CMC Pictures will debut Larry Yang's The Shadow's Edge in select theaters across the US and Canada starting August 22nd, 2025, this summer.
