In a delightful announcement on Tuesday, Netflix revealed that the beloved rom-com, 13 Going On 30, is finally getting a thrilling reboot. The 53-year-old actress, Jennifer Garner, who starred in the original film, has teamed up with renowned filmmaker Brett Haley for this upcoming remake. Jennifer will not only be a part of the project but will also serve as an executive producer.

The lead roles in the reboot are reportedly being played by Emily Bader and Logan Lerman. Brett Haley couldn't help but express his excitement for this new venture, stating to Deadline, "13 Going on 30 is one of those rare, perfect films. It's funny, emotional, deeply human, with unforgettable performances from Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, and Judy Greer."

He further added, "As a longtime fan of the original, stepping into this reimagining comes with tremendous responsibility. Jennifer Garner being on board as an executive producer, after playing such a big part in what made the original special, is especially meaningful. I also couldn't be more excited to reunite with Emily Bader after 'People We Meet on Vacation.' She and the amazingly talented Logan Lerman are a magical pairing. I feel incredibly lucky to be trusted with something that means so much to so many people."

However, the release date of the upcoming film remains a mystery at this point. But fans of the classic rom-com can rest assured that it's coming soon and promises to be just as enchanting as the original.
