Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson is on the road to recovery. The star of *Here Comes Honey Boo Boo* is bouncing back after her car was severely "T-boned on the driver’s side" while she was en route to a hair appointment, as shared by her mother, June "Mama June" Shannon. "She's at home now, taking it easy," Mama June wrote on Instagram on September 26. "It could have been so much worse. She's got a few bumps and bruises, but otherwise, she's doing okay."

The 46-year-old matriarch also opened up about the discomfort her daughter—a nursing student at Regis University in Denver—is enduring since being released from the hospital. "She's dealing with some back pain and has been having headaches," Mama June revealed. "We're making our way to Denver to get her a rental car and help her get settled." Adding a touch of frustration, Mama June, who resides in Gray, Georgia, with her husband Thomas Stroud, remarked, "This is the downside of living 23 hours away."

While vowing to share more details once she can "process everything," Mama June wrapped up her message with a heartfelt plea: "Keep Alana in your thoughts and prayers, and us too, as we navigate through this." Although Alana—who rose to fame on the TLC series alongside Mama June and her sisters Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon, and Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon—hasn't publicly spoken about the car accident, she's been quite vocal on social media about her passion for nursing. Moreover, she's shed light on how her studies are influencing her and boyfriend Dralin Carswell's future wedding plans.

"Probably not until after I finish school," the 20-year-old confessed to E! News in May, "because weddings are costly and require a lot of effort." Even though the *Toddlers & Tiaras* alum and her beau—who went public with their relationship in September 2021—aren't rushing to the altar just yet, Alana is certain that their wedding day lies "somewhere in the future."

And when it comes to the prospect of having little pageant queens of her own? "I definitely want kids someday," she admitted. "But I don't want a huge family—maybe just two, and that's it—and definitely not anytime soon."
