Hilaria Baldwin is deftly silencing her critics who shame her body. On June 16th, the 41-year-old shared an Instagram video featuring her children, Carmen, 11, and Leonardo, 8, effortlessly lifting her off the ground in turns, while she struggled to reciprocate their strength. Although some social media users found the clip heartwarming, others couldn't resist speculating about Hilaria's weight. One commentator, hinting at her petite frame, suggested she was drawing attention to herself by captioning the video, "'Look how light I am!'"
In response, Hilaria succinctly clarified her intentions, writing back, "'How about 'look how strong my kids are'???'" Another user, presumably jesting, commented, "'Do you eat?' because you're all bones," to which Hilaria, the founder of Yoga Vida and stepmother to Alec's daughter Ireland Baldwin, 29, responded candidly, "Well, yes I do."
Hilaria also engaged positively with some heartfelt comments. One user shared, "I used to do this with my mom too. She was 5'1" and I was 5'8"," to which Hilaria playfully predicted that she might soon be outgrown by her towering offspring. "I feel like this is going to be them," she replied. "They all got the tall genes. Me? Not so much."
While Hilaria and Alec's bustling brood haven't quite towered over them in height just yet, they certainly aren't afraid to keep their parents grounded. In an interview with E! News in April, Carmen offered a hilariously blunt response when asked when she realized her parents were famous. She deadpanned, "They're not." Carmen added that her friends were equally unimpressed with their celebrity status, stating, "They don't ask about you guys because they don't care. They don't know about you; they might know about dad."
Despite this, Carmen described Hilaria as a "cool mom," revealing their favorite mother-daughter activity: "We get our nails done."
