Alex Cooper can now proudly call herself "Mommy." The host of "Call Her Daddy" announced that she and her husband, Matt Kaplan, are expecting their first child together. In a carousel of Instagram photos shared on May 17th, she showed off her growing baby bump, captioning it, "Our family." In the adorable snaps, Matt sits in a chair with his back to the camera, while Alex—wearing flowy white pants and a matching crop top—sits on the arm of the chair. As Alex places a tender hand on her stomach, her husband affectionately rests a hand on her thigh as the podcaster beams with joy.

Alex and Matt's love story began over a Zoom call in 2020. When they first started dating, Alex kept their connection under wraps, referring to the Hollywood producer as "Mr. Sexy Zoom Man" until their engagement in 2023, when she finally revealed his identity. A year later, Alex and Matt tied the knot in a low-key beachside wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

"It was everything we wanted it to be," Alex, 31, told Vogue at the time. "It was emotional, heartfelt, and tailored exactly to how we always envisioned it." When it came to planning the occasion, it was a "dream" for her as Matt, 42, handled practically everything aside from her custom Danielle Frankel wedding dress. As she put it, "I was quite stress-free—I give Matt so much credit because he truly took on the heavy lifting, and it was perfect."

But the couple's wedding day wasn't the first time Alex shared a glimpse into her husband's supportive side. After all, she knew Matt was the one when he stood by her after she contracted HPV from a sexual encounter four years earlier.

"At this point, Matt and I were starting to get serious and we were dating," she explained in an August 2024 episode of her "Call Her Daddy" podcast. "It just sucked because I could really envision a future with him. I think I was scared to vocalize one of my biggest fears—that this mistake I made years ago would impact my fertility. Matt was the first person I had dated that had me realize I even wanted to have kids."

"I knew I would have to be honest about it," she added. "And I told him everything. And he couldn't have been more loving, understanding, and supportive." Six months after Alex underwent treatment for the virus, she was HPV-negative.

"I'd had conversations with Matt like, 'What if I still have it?'" Alex remembered. "And I will say, you know you have the right partner ladies when they don't give a f--k. They're just there to support you and love you, and it doesn't matter."
