At the glittering event where Amanda clinched the Best Actress in a Movie/Miniseries award for her role in 'The Dropout,' she donned an archival Dior gown, meticulously crafted from a solitary sheet of shimmering gold lamé chiffon. Little did she know that this elegance would soon become a series of unforeseen dramas.

"It's literally shattering, I'm not exaggerating. It keeps tearing apart," Amanda confessed amidst a red carpet chat with Access Hollywood. And as she ascended the stage to receive her well-deserved accolade, it seemed she was frantically holding her gown together from behind.

Later that evening, when 'The Dropout' was honored as the Best Limited Series, Amanda appeared on stage clad in a jacket, subtly hinting at a major wardrobe malfunction.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Amanda unveiled the full extent of the dress's disaster – and revealed the surprising witness to her wardrobe woes. "My boobs literally slipped out of my dress at the 2023 Critics' Choice Awards," she recounted. "I was adorned in this stunning vintage gown, which I had my stylist try on beforehand just for kicks. It was somewhat pieced together, and it started disintegrating right on the red carpet. I even think there were interviews where I mentioned it was coming apart."

"I was chatting with Glen Powell in a corner near my table, and we were exchanging playful banter. When I raised my arms, my boobs were suddenly bared for all to see. My dress had completely fallen apart," she elaborated.

Amanda shared that both she and Glen "screamed" in astonishment, but Glen, being the gentleman he is, swiftly stepped in to cover her up with dignity. "We both screamed, and he, true to his gentlemanly nature, shielded me," she said. "He didn't…I don't think he looked. None of us could have foreseen that, but that dress had simply surrendered."

Amanda further confirmed that donning the jacket on stage later was a spontaneous decision to cover herself up after the gown had practically disintegrated. "I ended up borrowing someone else's jacket for the stage appearance because, well, otherwise, it would have just been me and my boobs," she quipped.
