Feeling parched and ready for a swim, Amy Schumer shared a photo of herself in a stunning one-piece burgundy swimsuit and sunglasses, writing on Instagram Story on March 31, "Thirsty enough for ya?" The 'I Feel Pretty' actress, who announced her breakup from husband Chris Fischer after seven years of marriage in December, has never shied away from discussing the more personal aspects of her life.

The 44-year-old actress recently revealed that she had lost 50 pounds after being diagnosed with Cushing syndrome in 2024. "I didn't lose 30 pounds, I lost 50," she wrote in a since-deleted December Instagram post. "Not to look hot, which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive. I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy and can kill you, but the internet caught it, and that disease has cleared."
Cushing syndrome is a hormonal condition that causes elevated levels of cortisol, which can be fatal if left untreated, according to the National Library of Medicine. Amy explained that her weight loss was a combination of factors, including "plastic surgery over the years" and Mounjaro.
She also tried Ozempic in her weight loss journey but said it had some very difficult side effects. "I was bedridden," she recalled during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in January 2025. "I was vomiting and had no energy. But other people take it and they're all good, so god bless them." The drug also made it hard for her to be a present parent to her 6-year-old son Gene. "I'm in bed and my son's like, 'Can you play tag?' And I'm like, 'I can't.' I was shriveling."
Ultimately, the results of Ozempic weren't worth the toll it was taking on her. "I lost 30 pounds so quick," she noted. "I looked great but couldn't lift my head off the pillow, so what's the point?"
