Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's son, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, made a rare and captivating appearance on the red carpet. The 22-year-old graced the screening of the movie "Self Custoday" on Friday, January 23rd, accompanied by director Garrett Patten and producer Fernando Ferro. Dressed in a striking red plaid overshirt for the occasion, Pax was observed engaging in a lively conversation with the men behind the drama, which stars Adrian Grenier, before heading to a festive gathering at the Park City, Utah festival.
Pax's fascination with filmmaking began in the early 2000s when Jolie and Pitt adopted him. As a child, he walked the red carpet at the world premiere of Jolie's 2019 film "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" and attended the 2018 Golden Globes. The Oscar-winning actress also revealed to Women's Hour that music might play a significant role in Pax's future. "They are genuinely interested in pursuing music," Jolie said. "Pax loves music and deejaying," she added.

Pax was born in Vietnam on November 29, 2003, spending his early years at the Tam Binh Orphanage outside Ho Chi Minh City. Jolie adopted him in 2007, while Pitt later formally adopted their son in 2008 due to regulations that made it challenging for unmarried couples to adopt.
Pax joined his older brother Maddox, now 24, whom the couple had adopted from Cambodia in 2022, and his two younger sisters, Shiloh, now 19, and Zahara, now 21, who was adopted from Ethiopia in 2005. In 2008, their household expanded further when Jolie and Pitt welcomed their twins, Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, now 17.
When Pax joined their clan, Jolie told MSN that he was a "tough, remarkable little person" who was adjusting well. In 2011, the family returned to Vietnam, with Jolie telling the Financial Times, "They are all learning about each other's cultures while being proud of their own. They all have their flags over their beds and their individual pride."
The "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" star, who was formally divorced from Pitt in 2024, also told WSJ Magazine in 2023 that her children are her top priority. "They are the closest people to me and my life, and they're my close friends," she said. "We're seven very different people, which is our strength."
