Angelina Jolie made a dazzling entrance at the 2024 AFI Fest in Los Angeles on Saturday, debuting her beachy curls for the premiere of her latest film, "Maria." In Pablo Larraín's latest directorial masterpiece, Jolie stars as the legendary opera singer, Maria Callas.

For the red carpet appearance, Jolie chose an elegant sleeveless champagne satin dress, which she complemented with a black cape that added a touch of sophistication. Her accessories included jeweled dangle earrings that shimmered under the lights and metallic pumps that matched her outfit perfectly. A bold red lip sealed the deal, completing her glamorous and captivating look.

"Maria" had previously premiered at the Venice Film Festival in August, drawing attention for its portrayal of Callas' final years in 1970s Paris. During that event, Jolie stunned the audience with a custom Tamara Ralph ensemble, featuring an asymmetrical draped chiffon gown and a faux fur stole that exuded elegance and sophistication.

Callas' life story reads like a dramatic screenplay. She spent much of her childhood in rigorous training, which strained her relationship with her mother and eventually led to its demise. In love, Callas faced heartaches as well: her husband, Giovanni Battista Meneghini, betrayed her by stealing her fortune during their divorce, and her nine-year lover, Aristotle Onassis, left her for Jackie Kennedy.

Despite these challenges, Callas achieved immense success in her career. However, her vocal abilities declined, prompting her to retire in 1965. Some say that she ultimately died of a broken heart.

Earlier this year, WWD exclusively revealed that Jolie had been named the first celebrity spokesmodel for Tom Ford Beauty. In the new campaign imagery, Jolie showcases the brand's hero Runway Lip Color shade, Scarlet Rouge. "It's a beautiful color and texture," the actress remarked via email. "A good red lip needs little else. It's worn with intention, and that was part of our discussion."
