Angelina Jolie Unveils Striking Blonde Bob for Latest Role

Angelina Jolie is currently embracing a blonde transformation. On September 3, while filming "Anxious People" in London, the Oscar-winning actress swapped her iconic long, dark tresses for a chic, golden bob. Accompanied by her 24-year-old son, Maddox, Angelina navigated the set in a cream-colored shawl and a coordinating midi dress, her ensemble enhanced by white heels, a slender silk scarf, and an elegant brass brooch.

The film, which also stars Jason Segel and "The White Lotus" actress Aimee Lou Wood, is adapted from Fredrik Backman's 2019 novel of the same name. It revolves around a group of open house attendees who find themselves unintentionally taken hostage by a robber fleeing from a nearby bank heist.

Maddox has a history of collaborating on his mother's film projects. In fact, he played a pivotal role in preparing Angelina for her directorial role in the 2017 Cambodian biopic "First They Killed My Father." In a 2017 interview with Variety, Angelina spoke fondly of Maddox, who was adopted from Cambodia, saying, "I wanted him to research and help me, not only because of his unique child's perspective but also because he was incredibly useful. Just sitting on set and glancing over to see him with his countrymen, creating, laughing, being Cambodian, and happy in his land—it was everything."

Angelina, who is also the mother of Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17, with her ex-partner Brad Pitt, jokes that Maddox is sometimes even more prepared than she is on set. "When we took notes during production meetings, his were always better than mine," she quipped to Entertainment Tonight in 2017. "He's very studious, but he has a wonderful sense of humor, and he's great fun to be around."

Maddox was also by her side for "Maria," released in 2024, which earned Angelina a Golden Globe nomination. "Mad and Pax were involved in this one," she told The Hollywood Reporter last year. "They did assistant directing work. They've done it quite a few times, and I think it's good for them."
