On April 7th, the beloved "Princess Diaries" star hopped onto Instagram to unveil the release date of the cinematic adaptation. In the enchanting clip, Anne could be glimpsed casually turning the pages of Colleen Hoover's eponymous novel. The "The Intern" actress pensively captioned the post, "So Be It… our journey with #VerityMovie has reached its conclusion!"
Intriguingly, Anne disclosed that moviegoers can catch the upcoming film in theaters on May 15, 2026. Soon after, Colleen echoed Anne's post, penning in the caption, "And that's indeed a wrap! The 'Verity' movie is gearing up for a May 2026 release!" The novelist also extended her heartfelt gratitude to the cast and crew, stating, "A profound thank you to the entire ensemble, crew, and production teams for their relentless efforts!"

Earlier in May 2024, Colleen revealed that "Verity" was set to be adapted by Amazon MGM Studios. By November of the same year, the exciting news broke that Anne would be embodying the titular character, Verity Crawford. In December, Josh Hartnett was cast as her on-screen husband, Jeremy Crawford, while Dakota Johnson secured the role of the writer, Lowen.
Rounding out the star-studded cast are Ismael Cruz Córdova and Brady Wagner, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience.
