Are Pam and Liam for Real? Or Is This Another Hollywood Fauxmance?

Their tender kisses, reminiscent of sweethearts' tender embraces, and their warm, lover-like hugs, accompanied by amorous whispers that hint at a deep romance, have sparked curiosity. Yet, the question lingers: Are Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson genuinely entangled in a love affair, or is it all a mirage? Skepticism abounds, with one Reddit poster questioning their romance's authenticity, remarking, "This smells like a publicity stunt," amidst an inexplicable detour into debates about Anderson's Zionism.

Indeed, skeptics have ample grounds for their doubts. Hollywood's history is replete with fabricated romances, dating back to the golden era of Rock Hudson and Doris Day as the sizzling silver screen couple. More contemporary instances are not hard to find. Just two years ago, Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney, amidst the American Eagle scandal, orchestrated a swift deception to promote their film, _Anyone But You_. Both later admitted to fueling off-screen romance rumors to sustain social media buzz during their media tour. Similarly, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga's Oscar duet for _A Star Is Born_ in 2018 sparked dating rumors, which they later admitted were orchestrated. Gaga herself revealed, "We mapped the whole thing out. It was orchestrated." Other examples include Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's _Twilight_-era liaison, rumored to be "studio-managed," and who could forget Vaughniston? Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston's fiery romance lasted precisely as long as the promotional window for _The Break-Up_ in 2006.

That being said, there are reasons to lend credence to the Neeserson romance. Both _Naked Gun_ co-stars have been single for quite some time. Neeson, 73, was last known to be in a relationship a few years after the tragic passing of his wife, Natasha Richardson, in 2009. He dated PR executive Freya St. Johnston until roughly 2012. Meanwhile, Anderson, 58, hasn't been visibly active on the dating scene since her 2022 divorce from bodyguard Dan Hayhurst. Furthermore, a chorus of "insiders" persists in tabloids, insisting that the couple is "madly in love"—a claim lacking concrete proof but resonating with sincerity.

However, one piece of evidence stands out as particularly compelling. On Instagram, Joely Richardson—Natasha's sister and still close to Neeson—recently bestowed three red hearts on one of Anderson's posts captioned, "Love is in the air."

**The Resurgence of Jeffrey Epstein: A Boon for Authors**

The renewed fascination with Jeffrey Epstein has proven to be a windfall for at least one group—authors penning books about him. When Julie K. Brown's _Perversion of Justice_ hit shelves in 2021, it was a mid-list debut that publishers politely termed "steady." Today, it's sold out nationwide, with Brown recently posting on X, "If you're struggling to find my book, I'm told the publisher is printing more copies." The book has been in development at HBO for years, with Adam McKay attached as producer, and the current surge could finally propel an adaptation in the near future.

Similarly, James Patterson's 2016 true-crime expose, _Filthy Rich_, published three years before Epstein's death in prison, is garnering renewed attention. Last month, viewership of the 2020 Netflix docuseries based on the book soared by 430%, often boosting source material back up the charts. And then there's Andrew Lownie's _Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York_, promising eye-popping (or perhaps stomach-churning) revelations about Prince Andrew's ties to Epstein, set to release on August 14. Predicting healthy sales for this book isn't a stretch.

Unsurprisingly, this heightened awareness of Epstein has publishers clamoring for more. "An investigative reporter who uncovers new ground will have a runaway best-seller," remarks top D.C. agent Keith Urbahn, quickly tempering expectations. "But exposing a conspiracy is easier said than done, especially in book form." —Andy Lewis
