Ariana Grande Rocks Elphaba-Coded Look at the 2026 Golden Globes

Let us take a moment to admire Ariana Grande's latest red carpet appearance. The 'Wicked: For Good' actress graced the 2026 Golden Globes in Beverly Hills, California, on January 11th, wearing a black Vivienne Westwood Couture ball gown. Her ensemble seemed to channel her character Glinda the Good Witch's transformation into Elphaba Thropp (played by Cynthia Erivo), with its dark hues. The getup, styled by Law Roach, marked a notable fashion departure from Ariana's string of brightly-colored looks throughout the press tour for the movie musical, which were largely inspired by Glinda's iconic pink color palette. Prior to the big night, the 32-year-old shared her gratitude for being recognized for her work as Glinda in the Wizard of Oz-inspired musical adaptation. "Thank you so much, Golden Globes, for this tremendous honor and recognizing this performance a second time," she wrote in an Instagram Story on December 8th. "I'm moved and grateful. There are truly no words."

Ariana echoed this sentiment at the New York City premiere of 'Wicked: For Good' in November. "It's so incredible," she told E! News. "It's such an honor to have it recognized, especially even a year after the first film. We're just so honored to have that moment together to be acknowledged."

The Grammy winner was especially excited for fans to "finally be able to get the full story" of Glinda and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) in the 'Wicked' sequel and experience the "full arc of these women that we love so much and have spent these years with." "It's almost five years that we've spent with them," Ariana noted. "So, for them to finally be getting the full picture and to know the secrets we've known all along is very exciting."
