Bad Bunny has recently unveiled the true motive behind his decision to forgo performing in the United States. The Puerto Rican superstar disclosed that he opted to exclude the U.S. from his world tour itinerary due to mounting security concerns stemming from ICE raids. "There were numerous reasons why I chose not to perform in the U.S., and none of them were rooted in hatred," the 31-year-old artist clarified in a candid new interview with I-D Magazine.

The Monaco crooner reflected on his numerous past performances in the U.S., noting that all of them had been "triumphant and spectacular." Bunny emphasized that his shows have always been inclusive, welcoming all communities willing to travel abroad. "People from the U.S. could come here to witness the show. Latinos and Puerto Ricans residing in the U.S. could also make the journey here or to any corner of the globe," stated the Grammy-winning artist.

However, Bunny revealed that his decision was not made lightly, as he had to consider the potential risk of immigration authorities targeting his audience. "There was the looming concern that ICE might be stationed outside my concert venues. It was a topic of discussion and a source of significant anxiety for us," the rapper added.

This is not the first instance of Bunny voicing his apprehensions regarding ICE. The singer had previously spoken out against the agency back in June and even shared footage of an ICE arrest on his social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny's ongoing Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour is a monumental undertaking, featuring 57 shows across 23 cities worldwide. The tour's global reach includes stops in the United Kingdom, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Poland, and Belgium.
