**Bella Hadid** is thrilled to be back in the game. The supermodel shared the emotional toll she endured while undergoing treatment for Lyme disease last year, which made her "have to say no to every job for almost a year."
"I was emotional because you feel disposable," Bella confessed to her sister **Gigi Hadid** in an interview with **Vogue Italy** published on Feb. 23. She explained that she learned to be content with focusing on her health. "My worthiness doesn't depend on the jobs I accept. For so long, saying no to a job felt like I was questioning my worth. But now, I've had to let go of that and do the jobs that align with my heart and the people I love, trust, support, and respect."

The 29-year-old added, "I had to release the insecurity I felt during my Lyme disease treatment—which I was diagnosed with at 16 in 2013. I also admire Gigi for setting boundaries and advocating for herself and others."
"It's so important to not only advocate for yourself but also for your friends and people around you," she continued. "For me, that's a huge part of the excitement and energy that a workday brings—being able to watch my friends be inspired."
Moreover, Bella has found new career opportunities since embracing her renewed work mindset. She's even acting in Ryan Murphy's new show **The Beauty**.
"He pushed me out of my comfort zone, which made me let go of my need for control," she explained. "The need to look good or do things perfectly." Plus, she was able to channel her physical and mental pain into her character.
"I was able to really embody that in my body and pour it into the art and the work," Bella shared. "That was really fulfilling for me—to be able to express myself in that way."
