Simmons, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, and Robert Morgan, the film premiered to critical acclaim at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival, with numerous quotes featured prominently in this new trailer. Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) possesses a remarkable aptitude for solving intricate dilemmas. When an old friend is brutally murdered, leaving behind a cryptic clue imploring, "find the accountant," Wolff feels compelled to take up the case. Recognizing the need for drastic measures, Wolff enlists the help of his estranged and lethally skilled brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal). Together, alongside U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a perilous conspiracy, making them prime targets for a ruthless cadre of killers determined to keep their secrets buried at all costs.

"The Accountant 2" is helmed by American filmmaker Gavin O'Connor, whose credits include "Comfortably Numb," "Tumbleweeds," "Miracle," "Pride and Glory," "Warrior," "Jane Got a Gun," the original "The Accountant," and "The Way Back." The screenplay is penned by Bill Dubuque ("The Accountant," "A Family Man," "The Judge," and "Ozark"). Produced by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Lynette Howell Taylor, and Mark Williams, Amazon MGM Studios will release O'Connor's sequel, "The Accountant 2," nationwide in theaters starting April 25th, 2025.
