Ben Barnes finally spoke out regarding Greta Gerwig's highly anticipated adaptation of "The Chronicles of Narnia." The star of "Shadow and Bone," renowned for portraying Prince Caspian in the 2008 and 2010 fantasy films, eagerly expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming Netflix rendition at the premiere of Stephen King's "The Institute" in Los Angeles.

Speaking to Variety, the talented actor who also starred in "Dorian Gray" remarked, "When it comes to classic literature, the avenues for adaptation are boundless, as long as they breathe new life into the tales and resonate with a fresh generation." He further elaborated, "These stories possess a unique charm; fantasy, in particular, offers a canvas to weave allegorical narratives about hope, virtue, and faith in a mesmerizing manner."

The 43-year-old artist revealed that he found the prospect of witnessing Gerwig's interpretation "extremely intriguing," adding that he was "overjoyed that [Narnia] is being reimagined."

Following the triumph of her "Barbie" film, Gerwig is now penning and helming this adventure fantasy, rumored to be based on "The Magician's Nephew," the sixth installment in C.S. Lewis' celebrated series. The ensemble cast boasts names like Daniel Craig, Meryl Streep, and Emma Mackey, with Carey Mulligan reportedly in negotiations to join the fold.

According to Deadline, "The Chronicles of Narnia" is set to enchant audiences in IMAX theaters on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, and will subsequently make its streaming debut on Christmas Day, December 25, 2026.
