Slated to premiere in April 2025 at a Shubert Theatre (specific venue and dates yet to be announced), 'BOOP!' promises to be a visual and auditory extravaganza. The show boasts a stellar creative team, including David Foster's enchanting music (a 16-time Grammy Award winner) and Susan Birkenhead's (Jelly's Last Jam) captivating lyrics. The narrative, penned by Tony Award-winner Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone), follows Betty's dream of escaping the monotony of her black-and-white film strip world and embarking on an adventure in present-day New York.

Last year, the musical premiered in Chicago, with Jasmine Amy Rogers, renowned for her portrayal of Gretchen Wieners in the national tour of 'Mean Girls,' leading the cast in the titular role. Now, with Mitchell's masterful direction and choreography, the Broadway production is poised to take audiences on a whimsical journey through Betty's eyes.

The design and creative team for this Broadway spectacle is equally impressive, featuring David Rockwell's captivating set design, Gregg Barnes's vibrant costume design, Philip S. Rosenberg's illuminating lighting design, Gareth Owen's sound design, and Finn Ross's projection design.

As 'BOOP!' joins the ranks of other exciting new musicals announced for the season, including 'Maybe Happy Ending' starring Darren Criss and Helen J. Shen, 'A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical,' 'Death Becomes Her,' 'Swept Away,' and 'Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends' starring Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga, it promises to be a highlight of the upcoming Broadway season.
