The nine-time Grammy Award-winner candidly confessed that as a child, she harbored an intense dislike for her name, believing it to be quintessentially masculine. "I recall being infuriated, longing for a more feminine moniker, something akin to Violet or Lavender—a delightful, flower-inspired name," she reminisced.

However, the talented creator of hits like "Lovely" eventually came to cherish her name, asserting, "There exists no other name in existence that could suit me better than Billie. I adore my name beyond measure." She further emphasized, "It feels utterly perfect for me and who I have become."

Eilish delved into the origins of her name, revealing that it was a tribute to her late grandfather, William, whom she never had the privilege of meeting as he passed away before her birth. She shared, "Shortly after I was born, my grandfather passed away. His name was William, also known as Bill, or Billie, and that's the source of my name."

Recently, Eilish made a thrilling surprise appearance at Coachella on April 12th, joining Charli XCX on stage for a captivating performance of Charli's hit remix, "Guess."
