Blackpink might soon be taking the stage near you, as the iconic K-Pop supergroup has officially announced their upcoming world tour. On Wednesday, they posted an exhilarating teaser video titled "Blackpink 2025 World Tour Teaser," which nostalgically showcased the electric crowds and vibrant pink lightsticks that have become synonymous with their sold-out performances.
The announcement sparked a wave of excitement among Blinks, Blackpink's devoted fanbase, who flooded social media with joyous posts celebrating the group's return. The quartet last embarked on a global odyssey spanning 22 countries between 2022 and 2023, promoting their last album, "Born Pink." During this tour, they made two unforgettable stops in Los Angeles – first at the BMO Stadium during the initial U.S. leg in November 2022, and then again at Dodger Stadium for an exhilarating encore show in August 2023.
This news arrives on the heels of the Blackpink members' increasingly successful solo careers. Jisoo, the group's eldest member, has recently joined Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé in signing new labels as solo artists, with Jisoo inking a global deal with Warner Records. In December 2023, it was revealed that Blackpink had renewed their exclusive contracts with YG Entertainment for group activities. However, it was subsequently announced that all four members had chosen to pursue solo endeavors under different labels. Jennie signed with Columbia Records through a partnership with her record label and entertainment company Oddatelier, while Lisa and her entertainment company LLOUD forged a partnership with RCA Records. Rosé inked a global solo deal with Atlantic Records.
All four members of the girl group are currently thriving as solo artists. Rosé released her debut album, "Rosie," in December, with her lead single "APT" continuing to climb the Billboard Hot 100 and currently sitting proudly at No. 3. Jennie is gearing up to release her debut studio album, "Ruby," along with her first solo tour, "The Ruby Experience," in March. Lisa is dropping her next single, "Born Again," featuring Doja Cat and Raye, on February 6. Additionally, she's starring in the upcoming third season of HBO's hit series, "The White Lotus," premiering on February 16. Jisoo is set to release her debut EP, "Amortage," on February 14. She's also featured in a new K-Drama, "Newtopia," premiering on Prime Video on February 7.
While details on specific cities and dates have yet to be unveiled, fans eagerly await confirmation on whether Blackpink will release a new album to accompany the tour.
