It was all about Braxton Berrios' football schedule, really. The Houston Texans wide receiver found himself in the midst of a recent breakup with Alix Earle, and fans were curious as to why he never made it to support her in person during her season 34 stint on Dancing With the Stars.
After returning to Instagram on December 11 with a cheeky photo and caption that read, "What did I miss?", fans flooded the comments with not-so-subtle hints, one user writing, "every single performance of Alix," to which he responded clearly: "I would've been at every one if I could've, sadly I can't travel like that in-season." He then added to another fan that he "would've loved to" be there for Alix. When a third commenter mentioned missing "a first class ticket to LA" to visit his TikToker girlfriend during her DWTS filming in Los Angeles during the Texans' bye week, he revealed, "That's exactly where I went for bye week."

The 30-year-old further clarified in the comments that his original post "was absolutely not supposed to be" shady towards Alix. Braxton's explanation for being absent from DWTS all season mirrored what Alix had previously said, telling a fan on TikTok last month that "he couldn't come because of football." And while he never made it to support the social media star in the ballroom, the NFL player did appear on the November 25 season finale, where he offered her words of encouragement in a pre-recorded video. "I've watched you pour everything into this since the moment it has started, and I think it shows," Braxton said in the clip. "Good luck. Have fun, babe."
After Alix and Braxton's split was confirmed by multiple outlets, she shared a glimpse into her post-breakup mindset. In a December 10 TikTok video of herself laying in bed, she captioned it, "Is my frontal lobe developing? bc I’m about to turn 25 and usually stress about having the biggest party but all I want to do is workout, meditate, play card games & have good convos with the ppl closest to me." The 24-year-old added, "Either I’m maturing or just rlly going thru it…maybe both."
