Kevin Federline, Britney Spears' former husband, is hopeful for a brighter future. Following the "Toxic" singer's voluntary admission to a treatment facility, Kevin's attorney shared his insight into how the dancer - who shares sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, with Britney - is feeling about this new chapter. "Kevin is aware of the reports that she has checked into rehab," his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told TMZ in a statement published on April 13. "And if she needs help, he is thrilled that she is seeking it, and that the decision appears to be one that she made and not one imposed upon her by others."

He added, "The key is that whatever the recommended treatment plan is, she follows it and completes it."
News of Britney's treatment came a month after she was arrested for driving under the influence in California. Following her release from police custody, a representative for the Grammy winner told E! News, "This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable."
"Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law," the spokesperson said. "And hopefully this can be the first step in long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney's life."
Britney's representative added that her loved ones, including her two children, were working on an "overdue and necessary plan to set her up for success and well-being." And Britney also has the support of her other ex-husband, Sam Asghari, during her health journey.
"We have not spoken to each other, but I wish her the most success and recovery," he told E! News on March 15. "I think privacy is the most important thing when it comes to that."
This sentiment was shared by the "Stronger" artist's friends, including former assistant Sean Phillip. "She's not a harmful person," he told Good Morning Britain last month. "She is one of the strongest women that I've ever met. She just keeps on going."
