No more romantic date nights for Brittany Cartwright and Brandon Hanson. The Valley star recently made a public announcement, revealing that she and her boyfriend have called it quits, just two months after sparking dating rumors with a getaway filled with public displays of affection. Confirming her single status, Brittany declared herself officially back on the market.
"We actually didn't last," Brittany, 36, candidly shared during the October 10 episode of her When Reality Hits podcast. "We were very good friends before we took the leap into dating. It was a whirlwind romance that spiraled into the public eye much sooner than either of us had anticipated."
The reality TV star elaborated that logistical challenges played a significant role in their breakup, noting that the geographical distance between them and their respective commitments made it difficult to sustain the relationship. "I couldn't handle the long-distance aspect, and he's got a lot on his plate with his three kids and job responsibilities," she continued. "Living three hours apart just made it too tough to keep the flame burning."
Brittany, who shares a 4-year-old son, Cruz, with her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, emphasized her desire to maintain a cordial relationship with Brandon, as they both genuinely cared for each other. "Hopefully, we can remain friends," she expressed with a hint of wistfulness. "But it's just something I didn't see working out in the long run."
After all, the Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test alum is still navigating the aftermath of her marriage breakdown with Jax, with divorce proceedings still ongoing. "I still have a lot of healing and learning to do," she reasoned. "So, I think taking some time to be single is what's best for me right now."
While Brittany and Brandon's relationship seemed to progress at lightning speed, she previously revealed to E! News in September that their connection had deep roots. "He's someone I used to date 15 years ago, so we're reconnecting," she explained. "I know him from my Kentucky days. So, I'm just trying to enjoy the moment."
