In a poignant post, the 31-year-old artist painted a candid picture of his misstep, writing, "Last night, after indulging in a celebratory meal accompanied by libations, I chose to ride an electric scooter back to my abode, falsely assuming the distance to be trifling and unaware of the prohibition against such a mode of transportation under the influence, thereby transgressing traffic regulations."

He further recounted, "As I attempted to park the scooter in front of my home, an unfortunate slip occurred, and to my dismay, a police officer was nearby. I underwent a breathalyzer test, which unfortunately led to the revocation of my license and a fine." Despite no harm done to individuals or property, Suga acknowledged, "This is solely my responsibility, and I offer no excuses. I profoundly apologize to all who have been adversely affected by my reckless and misguided actions, vowing to exercise utmost caution to prevent a recurrence."

Amidst BTS's hiatus as its members fulfill their compulsory military duties, with Suga in his final year serving as a social service agent, the group's esteemed record label, Bighit, also issued a heartfelt apology. "We extend our sincerest apologies for the unfortunate incident involving BTS's Suga and his electric scooter mishap. We deeply regret the disappointment caused by the artist's inappropriate conduct. Recognizing his role as a social service agent during his military service, he stands ready to face any disciplinary measures from his workplace for causing societal disturbance. We are committed to taking heightened precautions to ensure such occurrences are averted in the future."
