Bunnie Xo's memoir is attracting Hollywood's attention. Indeed, the wife of Jelly Roll, who released Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic last month, has confirmed that her explosive memoir is being adapted into a movie. After everything she's been through in life, Bunnie (real name Alisa DeFord) can't quite believe it.
"Writing this book was one of the most vulnerable things I've ever done," she told Variety in a March 12 statement. "I told my story the only way I knew how: raw, real, and unapologetic. Seeing it now move from the pages to the big screen is something I never could have imagined."

The 46-year-old, who married Jelly Roll in 2016, is hopeful that the film will convey the same inspirational messages she wrote about in her book. "I can't wait for audiences to experience the chaos, the heartbreak, the humor, and the redemption in a way that only film can capture," Bunnie shared. "If this film does anything, I hope it reminds people that your past or trauma can never define you. It's your comeback that does. It's never too late."
101 Studios, the production company behind Taylor Sheridan's Landman and Yellowstone, acquired the rights to Bunnie's book and has plenty to work with. After all, Bunnie didn't hold anything back in her memoir.
The Dumb Blonde podcaster discussed everything she's been through, including her upbringing in a trailer park, her time working as an escort, her decision to get sober, and the ups and downs of her relationship with Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord). Bunnie also wrote about their life today, including their desire to expand their family via surrogacy. (Jelly Roll is already dad to Bailee, 17, and Noah, 9, from previous relationships.)
When it comes to their plans to hopefully welcome twins, Bunnie looks forward to applying what she learned through her past experiences in her approach to motherhood. "What these babies are going to get from J and I is more childlike parents," Bunnie told E! News last month. "Because when we had Bailee, we were both getting sober."
"We were evolving. We were growing—we grew with Bailee," she added. "And I think this next set of children for us are gonna get the kid versions of us. We're going to get to live our childhoods through them, so we're really excited about that."
