When Cardi B has a taste for something, she's unstoppable. Nearly a month after the "Bodak Yellow" rapper revealed she was expecting her fourth child—her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs—she opened up about why she keeps "getting pregnant." With a candid and unapologetic tone, Cardi simply replied on X (formerly Twitter) on October 13, "Cause I keep f--kin’."
The Grammy winner—who shares children Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 13 months, with ex-husband Offset—has been candidly navigating her pregnancy journey. Sharing the raw realities of bringing new life into the world, she posted on X alongside a gif of a meme featuring Anthony Anderson in tears, "I’m uncomfortable when I sit, when I lay down, when I stand up. I can’t take this no more."
Despite the challenges, Cardi and Stefon—father to 9-year-old Nova—are gearing up to embrace their next chapter with enthusiasm. "Everybody kept telling me I should have fun, and we had a little bit too much fun and now I’m here," Cardi teased on CBS Mornings last month, adding with a grin, "We’re very excited. We’re very happy."
Even as the 33-year-old, who began dating New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, 31, in October 2024, stays busy promoting her latest album, AM I THE DRAMA?, she hasn’t let her parenting duties take a backseat. "After school, my kids have tutoring four times a week—reading, math, whatever," she shared on the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast on October 6. "Tutoring is mandatory in my house. Then Kulture has piano or gym class. Wave has sports class and still has to do tutoring."
"It’s about discipline," she continued. "I want you to be better than me. There are things I couldn’t do that I want my kids to achieve." Alongside enrolling them in swim and dance classes, Cardi—who filed for divorce from Migos member Offset in July 2024 after seven years of marriage—is determined for her children to excel in areas she didn’t have access to growing up. "I want you to be smarter than me," she emphasized. "I could read, but my grammar isn’t great. I want you to be—not perfect, because you don’t want to pressure your kids to be flawless—but I want you to be a hundred times better than me."
"I’m going to instill that in you, and you might be mad, and you might cry, but one day you’ll appreciate it," she added. "Because I wish someone had pushed me the way I’m pushing my kids when I was younger."
