Carey Hart is gradually recovering from an injury that necessitated a hospital visit earlier this week. The former motocross pro, who had recently remounted his racing saddle, sustained the injury during a practice session on Thursday. Through an Instagram post, he shared, "I'd exhausted my skills. During Thursday morning's practice, I had a rough crash. As I soared off a jump, my bike's handlebars twisted, and I took a harsh blow to the abdomen. It seems I've suffered a separation between my small intestine and colon."

"I'm alright and on the mend," he assured, adding a heartfelt thank you to "@feedbigb for convincing me to head to the emergency room and an immense gratitude to @pink. As always, she rose to the occasion and took charge at the hospital. Sorry for putting you through this again."

Accompanied by several laughing emojis, Hart posted a series of hospital photos, including a bathroom selfie revealing staples and bandages on his stomach. One touching snap captured their children, 13-year-old Willow and 8-year-old Jameson, occupied with their devices in the hospital room while their father was attended to.

"Thanks, Willz and Jamo, for your visit today. I'll be resting this week to commence my healing journey," Hart continued. "Sorry to anyone I've neglected over the past few days. There was a valid reason. I'll take a brief hiatus and catch up with everyone next week."

Previously, Hart had expressed gratitude to Pink following his lower spine disc replacement surgery. The athlete has equally stood by Pink's side through her health challenges, such as her hip surgery in 2021, which she thanked him for.

Hart and Pink, 45, tied the knot in Costa Rica in 2006, having met at the Summer X Games in their twenties. Their relationship has seen its fair share of ups and downs, including a split in 2003, reconciliation the following year, and another separation announcement in 2008, which they later revoked in 2009.

In 2020, Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, attributed their marital success to therapy. "Initially, you perceive your partner as your universe. But one person cannot encompass your entire world. You need individual passions, friends, and personal time. I used to be overly dependent. Now, by expecting less from each other, we somehow give more," she shared with People in 2021.

Two years hence, she extolled Hart as her "muse" while accepting the Icon Award at the iHeart Radio Music Awards. "If he loved me flawlessly, I'd have nothing to sing about," she confessed.
