Catherine O'Hara's family is reflecting on her last moments, a time filled with poignant memories and emotions. Her brother, Michael P. O'Hara, shared a vivid dream he had about the Schitt's Creek alum shortly before her untimely death in January. The dream served as a poignant farewell for the siblings. "I always cherish the times I can meet with a loved one in the dream state," Michael said on the April 6 episode of his Tip O The Iceberg podcast. "And I was hugging her, which was truly beautiful. And I guess it was sort of a goodbye."

Catherine, who passed away at the age of 71 from a pulmonary embolism, was not able to speak much in her final days. Michael noted that the dream acted as a parting gift, as she "wasn't really wanting to talk on the phone" and lived far away in Los Angeles.

After Catherine's "very unexpected and very, very sad" death, Michael shared that he has been visited by the Home Alone alum in his dreams on more than one occasion. "Since then, I've had a lovely dream where I was visiting her, and she was in a new house that was being renovated," he explained. "She was so busy choosing furniture and couches, and she said, 'You can sleep here anytime, Michael. You can come over and stay anytime.'"

The dream reminded Michael of when Catherine had an extra bedroom at her place during her time at Second City Television, and he would often sleep over at her place. "It was beautiful," he said. "She was just so happy and very busy in the other world that she's now in."

Expressing gratitude for being able to stay connected to "deceased loved ones" through dreams, Michael emphasized that although Catherine may be gone, her memory remains. "We're all interconnected," he said, "and the love continues no matter what. They're always with us."
