After receiving a diagnosis of a colloid tumor nestled near the core of his brain, the renowned Hollywood Medium revealed that he had successfully undergone a delicate brain surgery to excise it. "A promising outlook, an extraordinary medical team, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for my family's unwavering support," Tyler penned in an Instagram post dated May 14. "While confined to bed rest for a month, I eagerly anticipate my return to offering readings." He further mentioned that "the majority" of the colloid cyst—a slow-proliferating tumor of the brain, capable of causing fluid accumulation if its size becomes too substantial—had been "expertly removed."

"This is not my maiden voyage through such challenges," he continued, "I have an abundance of blessings to be thankful for. Soon, I'll be back with a plethora of thought-provoking topics and, of course, readings."

Indeed, the 29-year-old has kept his fans abreast of his ongoing health odyssey, which, as he had previously shared, commenced at the age of 18 when doctors discovered a "congenital brain cyst that necessitated emergency surgery following weeks of persistent headaches."

"A mass that accompanied me since birth suddenly posed a life-threatening scenario as my adult life was just unfolding," he wrote in a 2023 Instagram post. "Had it not been for the inevitable brain surgery, I might not have gained such a vivid appreciation for life's fragility."

Recalling his February 2014 brain surgery, Tyler reflected on being diagnosed with the tumor merely a day after jogging "two miles" and "toiling in my garden."

"The phrase, 'Death spares no one,' echoed in my mind as I lay in the ICU bed, gripped by a piercing headache," he recounted on Facebook that September. "The initial night in the hospital was unparalleled in discomfort. Doctors often find it challenging to convey information in the most reassuring manner."

"When I rushed to the ER, believing it was a migraine, a CT scan was ordered, prefaced with the words, 'Being the most fascinating case in the ER is never a good sign. Today, you are that case,'" he continued. "The revelation of a stroke wasn't what troubled me. The uncertainty surrounding the grape-sized mass on my brain stem was the distressing part."

As he regained his strength over the subsequent months, the reality star imparted the wisdom he garnered from this harrowing experience.

"It illuminated what truly matters and what is inconsequential," he wrote. "It unveiled my strengths, weaknesses, and a fleeting glimpse into the vast unknown—how perilously close I had come to untimely enlightenment."

"Above all, it is imperative that we strive to cherish every moment we are granted," he continued. "Direct your energy, focus, and concentration wisely. The direction you give them shapes your life. It's as straightforward as that."
