"Behold, our nation stands divided, polarized to the core, with these divisions hindering genuine conversations," the media titan proclaimed at the Project Liberty conference while moderating a panel titled "At a Digital Crossroads: Bipartisan Tech Solutions to Unite a Nation." "Yet, another formidable obstacle looms – the internet, particularly its current functioning."

"The internet has become one of the chief reasons we've lost the art of civil discourse. The platforms that reign over it manipulate our feeds, vacuum up our data without compensation, and keep us trapped in bubbles," Charlamagne continued, his voice laced with concern. "But a growing segment of us is seeing through this charade, waking up to the realities of our digital overlords."

He highlighted the perilous impact the internet poses, particularly to impressionable young minds. "The internet's greatest sin, in my opinion, lies in its effects on children. They're not acquiring vital life skills, and their brains aren't equipped to handle the deluge of people and information that social media throws at them," he argued passionately.

The discussion occurred amidst a backdrop where younger generations are increasingly ensnared by social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, exposing them to privacy breaches, online deceits, and cyberbullying.

While facilitating a dialogue between U.S. Representatives Nancy Mace and Ro Khanna, Charlamagne acknowledged that Americans cherish their freedoms. Yet, he issued a stark warning about the internet's detrimental effects on young users: "I fear we're blissfully unaware of the genuine harm the internet is perpetrating upon us."
