This year marks Charli XCX's maiden acting venture, with several projects slated for release from 2025 to 2026. However, the pop superstar candidly admits that she was initially intimidated by the prospect of acting in front of the camera.
In an interview with Vogue, the singer shares how she braved her fears. "I arrived on set feeling like, 'What the hell am I doing here?'" she says. However, once she started working on the set, her apprehensions dissipated, and she felt elated. "I thought, 'Okay, let me just see how this makes me feel.' And it made me feel incredibly amazing," she reminisces.
Despite her successful music career, the British singer acknowledges the fear of venturing into something new. She reflects on her music journey, stating, "It can be scary to leave something behind that you're known for and risk it all to try something else."
Despite these initial fears, Charli's experience on the sets of her projects was nothing short of remarkable. "I feel incredibly fortunate to be on set with so many actors and directors that I admire," she says. With a strong desire to learn and understand how others approach their craft, the 'Boys' hitmaker adds, "I have a hunger to learn and understand how other people do it. I don't think I've ever felt like, 'Wow, I killed that.' I feel ready to do it a thousand times if necessary."
This year has seen the release of several edgy movies featuring Charli, including 'I Want Your Sex' and 'The Moment.'
