"The sole individual I didn't personally invite to participate in the documentary was Jon," Charlie revealed in an interview with People, published on September 3. "And the sole reason behind my omission was the absence of his current contact information; hence, the director reached out to him on my behalf." He further elaborated, "Upon witnessing Jon's heartfelt and compassionate insights, I penned him a note, expressing my appreciation for his contributions and apologizing for not reaching out personally. Yet, to my surprise, I've yet to receive a reply from the two-time Emmy Award winner, which is quite uncharacteristic of him. Thus, I'm making a public appeal: if you're reading this, Jon, kindly DM me your new contact details!"

The 60-year-old actor, whose lineage boasts of Martin Sheen and Janet Sheen, delved deeper into the significance of Jon's honesty in the documentary, which delves into Charlie's struggles with addiction and the subsequent scrutiny. "It was truly refreshing to hear his perspective," Charlie shared. "Jon was in the eye of the storm, amidst all that chaos, and it adversely impacted him, his family, and his career. I cannot refute anything he said."

Reflecting on his departure from "Two and Half Men," Charlie expressed regret. "I still harbor regrets about that particular chapter. I often ponder that had I not embarked on that path, my life might have taken a different trajectory. My present circumstances would have been vastly different. But, hindsight is always 20/20."

Meanwhile, Charlie, who is a father to Cassandra, 40, with ex-partner Paula Profit; Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, with ex-wife Denise Richards; and twin sons Bob and Max, 16, with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, isn't deterred by Jon's fears, expressed in the documentary, about jinxing his eight years of sobriety. "Jon's apprehension is justified, given our shared history. But those days are long gone," Charlie noted optimistically. "I'm committed to proving him wrong, every single day."
