Elijah Blue Allman, the 48-year-old offspring of the iconic Cher and the late Gregg Allman, has been discharged from the hospital after being admitted for exhibiting "erratic behavior." Multiple reliable sources have informed PEOPLE that he has left the California medical facility where he was rushed on Saturday, June 14th.

According to TMZ, which quoted several insiders with firsthand knowledge of the matter, Allman was released sometime mid-week. TMZ was the pioneering outlet to break this news.

On Sunday, June 22nd, neither Elijah's legal representatives nor a spokesperson for Cher responded to PEOPLE's request for comment.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department (SBCSD) earlier confirmed to PEOPLE that Allman, professionally known as P. Exeter Blue and a founding member of the metal band Deadsy, was hurried to the hospital on June 14th due to his erratic actions.

Authorities revealed that deputies discovered drugs inside the residence where Allman was found and subsequently transported him to the hospital. The California-based police department noted that the investigation into the incident remains "ongoing."

Following Allman's hospitalization, his estranged wife, Marieangela King Allman, issued an exclusive statement to PEOPLE expressing her unwavering support for him. She stated, "While it's true that Elijah has faced personal challenges in the past, one constant has been his unyielding commitment to sobriety and his devotion to those he cherishes."

Marieangela continued, "Like many, he persists in confronting his internal struggles — but it's crucial to acknowledge that he does so from a stance of strength, not defeat. Despite the perceptions that often color the portrayal of his journey, the truth is that Elijah remains grounded, focused, and deeply committed to living with integrity and purpose."

She added, "I want to unequivocally state that I will always cheer him on. My support is unwavering and stems from a deep respect for the person he is and the resilience he continually demonstrates."

Shortly thereafter, a source told PEOPLE that Cher, 79, was intent on aiding her son in his recovery. (The "Believe" singer is also the mother of Chaz Bono, born in 1969 to the star and her then-husband Sonny Bono.) The insider remarked, "Like any mother, she's doing everything within her power to assist her son and ensure his wellbeing," referring to Cher and her youngest child.

Allman's hospital stay caps off a tumultuous period in his life. In December 2023, Cher filed for a temporary conservatorship over her son's estate due to alleged substance abuse and declining mental health. They eventually reached a private agreement, and Cher voluntarily withdrew her conservatorship petition in September 2024.

Prior to that, Elijah's estranged wife accused Cher of hiring four men to kidnap him. These allegations gained publicity as part of their divorce proceedings, but Cher refuted them, telling PEOPLE, "That rumor is not true," and declining further comment.
