Chet Hanks disclosed that he has found a new haven in Nashville. The 35-year-old offspring of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson graced The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, April 28th, where host Jimmy Fallon enquired about his relocation to Nashville to pursue his passion for country music.

As the 51-year-old host noted that the Running Point actor now resides in an “RV park,” Hanks explained his aversion to securing an apartment, stating, “I just acquired a condo in L.A., and I’ve furnished it. I didn’t want to go through that again.” He continued, explaining that he had been staying in Airbnbs and hotels in Nashville until it became “tedious.”

Hanks revealed that his decision to reside in an RV was inspired by a road trip to the Bay Area, where he stayed in an Airstream trailer. “I acquired a trailer. It’s not an Airstream,” he said, disclosing that he opted for a Jayco Eagle RV instead. “But I’m truly satisfied with it.” He further elaborated, “I have my kitchen, and a walk-in shower – which is a big deal in trailers, especially if it’s a walk-in shower because sometimes they combine the toilet and the shower.”

When Kimmel asked Hanks if he was friends with his neighbors, the Empire alum replied, “I’m probably the youngest person in the trailer park by about 30 or 40 years!” He added, “It’s not what you think. You might imagine living in a trailer park to be a bit sketchy or dangerous. Instead, it’s filled with retirees – great people.”

He continued, “I have a campfire outside of it. I have a fire pit. But most of the time, I do exactly what I do at home, which is just stay inside and lay in bed watching Netflix and other shows.”

Hanks returned to the States after revealing in late February that he was stranded in Colombia after traveling to Puerto Rico for a friend’s birthday and making his way to Medellín before heading home. At the time, Hanks said he was traveling with his Greek passport because he is a dual citizen and his U.S. passport was “about to expire.”
